Beginning the Journey

As someone who was born in the 60's, went to high school in the 80's, and teaching to students born in the 90's, I am woefully unprepared for the technological world they inhabit. As I am trying to adapt to omnipresence of technology, this blog is a documentation of the journey from technological illegal immigrant to a naturalized technological citizen. I cannot hide from technology, so I am going to throw caution to the wind, unpack my fears, and journey to mastering technology to better reach my students in a format they will embrace.

This hurts my head and makes me feel like I am in an episode of Star Trek.

  1. I think Dr. Z is trying to see if he can make me have a melt down! There is SO much out there that I do not know. Plus, I have seen examples of how technology can bring a class to life and truly engage my students. I feel like I am on the edge of the ocean and need to haul it back with me to my classroom. . . and, I am only at the beginning of Dr.Z's blog, and he wants me to watch and read the whole thing. I am going to feel really, really, archaic when I am done.
